Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Blue Ocean Immigration service operated by BOCEAN IMMIGRATION PORTUGAL, LDA, NIPC 519043731, with registered office at Avenida da Liberdade, n.º 67B, 3.º B, 1250-140 Lisboa, Portugal ("we", "us", "our", "the Provider").

By placing an order, you ("Client", "you") agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. The service

We provide a remote NIF (Número de Identificação Fiscal) registration service for non-residents of Portugal. The service includes:

• Preparation of three legal documents — Power of Attorney, Fiscal Representation Declaration, and Service Agreement — pre-filled with your data;
• Submission of your application to the Autoridade Tributária e Aduaneira (Portuguese Tax and Customs Authority);
• Acting as your fiscal representative in Portugal until your NIF is issued and the password received;
• Delivery of the issued NIF and password to your client portal.

2. Pricing

Payment is due in full at the time of placing the order. We accept payment by credit/debit card via Stripe. We do not store card details.

3. Your obligations

You agree to:

• Provide accurate, complete, and current personal data;
• Upload clear, legible copies of the documents requested (passport, proof of address, and — for minors — parents' ID);
• Sign the prepared legal documents using a signature identical to the one on your passport;
• Return the signed documents within a reasonable time so we may submit your application without delay.

4. Our obligations

We undertake to:

• Prepare your legal documents within one (1) business day after receiving your full application;
• Submit your NIF application to the Tax Authority within two (2) business days after receiving your signed documents;
• Forward the issued NIF and access password to your client portal as soon as we receive them;
• Provide email support throughout the process.

5. Estimated processing time

The Portuguese Tax Authority typically issues a NIF within 3–7 business days after submission. The corresponding access password is delivered separately by registered mail to the fiscal representative approximately 7 business days later. These periods are estimates and depend on the Tax Authority. We are not responsible for delays caused by the Tax Authority, the postal service, force majeure, or factors outside our control.

6. Refund policy

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee if we are unable to obtain your NIF due to factors within our control. The guarantee does not apply if:

• The application is rejected because of incorrect, falsified, or incomplete data provided by you;
• You fail to return the signed documents or to respond to our communications within 30 days of being asked;
• You cancel the order after we have already submitted to the Tax Authority.

Refund requests must be submitted by email to [email protected]. We will respond within 5 business days. Approved refunds are credited to the original payment method within 10 business days.

7. Right of withdrawal (EU consumer law)

Under Decree-Law 24/2014 (Portuguese transposition of Directive 2011/83/EU), consumers in the EU normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. By placing the order and explicitly requesting that we begin work immediately, you agree to forgo the 14-day right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed (Art. 17 of the Decree-Law).

8. Intellectual property

The website, its design, code, text, and graphics are property of BOCEAN IMMIGRATION PORTUGAL, LDA and are protected by copyright. You may use the legal documents we generate only for the personal purpose of obtaining your NIF and may not redistribute or commercialise them.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Portuguese law, our total liability arising from or in connection with the service is limited to the amount actually paid by you for that order. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

10. Personal data

The processing of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.

11. Modification

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force is always the one published at nif-express.com/terms.php on the date you place an order.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Portuguese law. Any dispute arising under or in connection with them shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the District of Lisbon, except where consumer protection law mandates the jurisdiction of the consumer's domicile.
